Irish Animation Awards Nominations 2025

The annual Irish Animation Awards is a beloved celebration of the Irish industry, and we are so pleased to see the recognition of so many Kitson Press writers in this year’s nominations!

Kitson Press Nomination Round Up

Three out of five of the nominations for Best Pre-School Shows feature Kitson Press writers.

Dilpreet Kaur Walia wrote on Paper Owl’s NIKHIL & JAY as well as Cartoon Saloon’s SILLY SUNDAYS, alongside Kristina Yee, Danny Stack, and Liam Swann. Sixteen South’s ODO features nine episodes by Alex Collier, eight episodes by Ishai Ravid, and episodes by Dilpreet Kaur Walia, Isabel Fay, Zahara Andrews, and Sian Ní Mhuirí.

Sara Daddy also wrote the script for PUFFIN ROCK & THE NEW FRIENDS which has several nominations including Best Script and Best Feature Film.

Damien O’Connor was Supervising Director on Brown Bag Films’ EVA THE OWLET which is nominated for Best Design and Art Direction.

Kitson Pressers also worked on two out of five of the nominations for Best New IP. Richie Conroy was Script Editor on LI BAN, and Shannon George wrote eight episodes of LU AND THE BALLY BUNCH for Brown Bags Films.
